I should introduce myself. I am a member of the Ss. Peter and Paul People of Life committee. JoAnne Mehon shared with me the email addresses she has for committee members and other friends of life. I am also a member of the Naperville District 203 Board of Education where I have been arguing for accurate, politically-neutral textbooks. I thought that you would find the below information of interest.
Death culture textbooks that our tax dollars pay for are used to educate our children
It will be impossible to open the hearts and minds of Americans about abortion if our own money is used to indoctrinate our own children with anti-life values.
For the third year in a row, the Naperville District 203 schools are planning to adopt a high school textbook that dehumanizes the human embryo. For example: a human being at conception is called a "fertilized egg." This is not correct scientific nomenclature. In human embryology, an egg is unfertilized; when an egg is fertilized it becomes an embryo. The deception of a "pre-embryo" stage is deliberate - they want students to think an early embryo is just a clump of cells, not deserving to be treated as a human being.
This year, the proposed textbook Essentials of Human Anatomy & Physiology will be voted on by the Board of Education on Tuesday, February 20. It includes a section on contraception that also includes the morning after pill and the abortion pill, as if these were even contraception. The textbook publicizes Planned Parenthood and falsely tells our young students that the abortion pill has "virtually no side effects." Apparently, death is not considered a side-effect in our textbooks. The NY Times reports that six women have died since 2000 after taking the abortion pill. Note that after a three-page litany of contraception and abortion, there is one sentence on abstinence.
You can make a difference
Two years ago, only two board members of the seven member board voted against such textbooks. Last year, three members voted no. This year, we might have a chance of a majority if there were objections from residents. The majority says there is no objection from the community, so they act with impunity.
You can email the school board to object to your tax dollars being spent on the promotion of abortion and Planned Parenthood to our young people. Email addresses cut and paste:

You can also attend the board meeting on Tuesday, Februay 20th at 7:30pm at 203 W. Hillside, Naperville. The public comments are towards the beginning of the meeting and you do not have to stay afterwards.  It is daunting to speak publicly, but would make more people aware of the objection.
You have a right to say how your tax dollars are spent. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to see the actual pages.  Also, please forward this to anyone you may feel would be interested.
Thank you,
